Channel 15 = Calling/Emergency
This is the New Zealand Calling/Emergency Channel - Everyone is recommended to listen to this channel.
When operating please be polite and do not use langauge that will offend others. It
is an offence to swear over the airwaves.
THESE CHANNELS ARE OFTEN USED BY THE FOLLOWING CB USERS
Channel 11 = Trucks
Channel 15 = Calling/Emergency
Channel 16 = Some 4WD's/Clubs
Channel 19 = Pleasure Boats
Channel 24 = Movanners
OPERATING PROCEDURES
When calling another station always listen first to make sure the channel is clear of other
stations.
When calling another station say their callsign first then yours eg AK6756 this is AK3583
do you copy, over.
GENERAL TERMS
OVER - Used at the end of a conversation and expecting a reply.
OUT - Used at the end of a conversation and not expecting a reply. ("Over and Out" is no
longer used)
